Finally some hits!!

After a couple rough weeks the bats returned and on field #4 nonetheless. After our best hitting performance of the year we straightened the ship and won our second game of the season bringing us back to .500. Couple notes from the game Mike Wilson had his 550th career AB in the 6th, unfortunately it was for the first out of the inning. Next Chris C. had a great evening going 3 for 3 (2 1b, 1 2b, BB) scoring twice and knocking in 2 RBIs. This let to Chris getting his 200th career H, 175th career 1b, and his 125th career RBI. Well Done!

Remember no game next week 5/25 in observance of Memorial Day.

6 years in a row LD opens the season with a WIN. We also had a milestone, Glenn had a nice opposite field shot in the first to record his 350th Career hit. Congrats!!

A Special Thanks and Farewell

We would like to say thanks to Chris Blais (aka the Roommate) for being a good teammate and roommate to Glenn and Genny Connley, with out their "Room for Rent" we would have never met or had the pleasure of playing with Chris. He started off slow but quickly rose by consistently getting on base. In his final game with Liquid Death/Johann Plumbing he hit what was a no doubter solo home run on Field 3 to cap his rookie season and solidifying the 10th victory of the season (which by the way was the first 10win season since 2005). Chris finishes his season with a .579 Avg, 14 RBI (tied for second) and 22 Hits (15-1B, 1- HR). Great season Chris, you will always have a spot on the roster if your ever passing through town. August 4th, On a cooler evening Dave Tingle walked to the plate and rapped a single past the second baseman for his 200 Single (1B) and his 99th RBI, and it took only two at bats later to knock in his 100th RBI, Congrats!!

On July 7th in a game against D & J Electric, Chris C. walked to the plate for his 500th career AB.

On June 9th, Paul K. raked hit 100th Career Hit, then last night July 21st he notched his 200th career AB.

July 8th, 2012 Milestone Update

On a drizzly Sunday night when LD secured their 82nd victory, Chris Janney came to the plate for the 800th time and hit a run scoring triple (66) in the 3rd inning, asked about the at bat and outcome the comment was "fitting". Meanwhile, Mike Wilson became the LD Home Run King (35) with a shot in the 3rd to cap off a 4-run inning. When asked he "thanked all the little people".

June 24th, 2012 Career Milestones
6/25/2012

Steve "Dirty" Sieving went 2-3 (2B, Hr) against Jake's Automotive knocking in (3) while notching his 200th career RBI. In a statement from Dirty "I'd like to thank everyone who got on base before me and allowed me to reach this milestone".

Mike Wilson went 3-3 (2-1B, 2B) against Jake's Automotive late Sunday night, which put him in position to score his 200th career run.
